BISCUIT TOPPING FOR STEW (Oven) | |
1/4 c. shortening 1 c. flour 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. celery seed 1 egg 1/3 c. milk Cut shortening into dry ingredients until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add egg and milk. Mix only until dampened. Drop by spoonful onto stew. Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes. |
