DAWN'S WALDORF SLAW | |
You can use more or less mayo depending on how creamy you like it. I have also used pineapple in this as well - it is great! 1 bag slaw mix 1/2 onion, minced 1 apple, diced 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped (or your favorite nuts) 1/2 cup raisins or grapes DRESSING: 1 cup mayonnaise (I use low fat or fat free) 2 to 3 tbsp. vinegar 1/2 cup sugar (or Splenda - sweeten to taste) dash of pepper Mix slaw, onion, apples, nuts and raisins in bowl big enough to mix in the dressing - set aside. In another mixing bowl mix mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar and pepper. Mix well with a wire whisk. Then add to the slaw mix. Note: This is best when it is chilled overnight before serving.. Enjoy!
