HUNGARIAN GOULASH | |
2 lbs. round steak (beef for stew), cut in 1/2 inch cubes 1 1/2 c. onion, chopped 1 to 2 cloves garlic 2 tbsp. flour 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 tbsp. paprika 1/4 tsp. thyme 1 bay leaf 1 (1 lb. 12 oz.) can tomatoes 1 container sour cream or yogurt (plain) Put beef cubes, onion, garlic in large pot. Stir in flour and mix to coat cubes; add all remaining ingredients except sour cream. Cover and cook on low 2 1/2 hours. Add sour cream or yogurt 1/2 hour. Before serving, stir in thoroughly. Serve over noodles. |
