CHICKEN TERI - YAKI 
3/4 c. soy sauce
1/4 c. white wine
1 clove garlic, minced
6 slices fresh ginger
2 tsp. sugar (optional)
1 chicken, cut into pieces
Equal parts sugar and soy sauce

For marinade, mix soy sauce, white wine, garlic, ginger and sugar. Pour over chicken. Marinate 2 hours at room temperature or overnight in refrigerator. Remove from the marinade. Chicken may be baked for 45 minutes at 325 degrees or barbecued. Baste with basting sauce for the last 15 minutes. Serve with rice.
