MOM'S TUNA CASSEROLE | |
1 1/2 c. cubed potato 1 1/2 c. cubed carrots 1/2 c. chopped onions 1 c. canned peas, save water 2 c. milk 1 tsp. salt 1 can tuna fish 2 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. flour Boil carrots and onions in the pea water for 15 minutes, add potatoes and cook until tender. Season. Make a white sauce by adding flour to melted butter, then milk. Cook in double boiler about 15 minutes. Add peas to the other vegetables. Flake fish, alternate layers of vegetables, sauce, fish in buttered casserole. Cover with buttered crumbs. Bake until brown. |
