HOLIDAY CRESCENTS 
3/4 c. butter
2 1/4 c. flour
3/4 c. powdered sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. evaporated milk
3/4 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

Let stand until soft 3/4 cups butter. Sift dry ingredients together. Beat dry ingredients into butter. Add milk and vanilla. Mix in nuts. Pinch off about a teaspoonful at a time. Roll into strips 2 1/2" long. Turn each strip to form a half moon. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from oven and while warm, roll each cookie in powdered sugar. Makes approximately 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
