1/2 c. butter
1/3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, at room temp.
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. apple slices
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. sliced almonds

Mix butter and sugar until fluffy. Mix in vanilla. Add flour and mix well. Spread mixture on bottom and sides of a 9 inch springform pan. Mix soft cream cheese and sugar, then add egg and vanilla. Pour into pan. Mix apples, sugar and cinnamon and put over layer of cream cheese. Top with almonds and bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Lower heat to 400 degrees and bake another 25 minutes. Cool before removing from pan.
