BROCCOLI BISQUE 
1 pkg. chopped broccoli or 2 c. fresh (chopped)
1/2 c. chopped onion
3-4 c. chicken broth
4 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
2 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
4 c. half and half (or milk)
2 c. grated American cheese
Chopped celery and carrots (optional)

Cook broccoli until tender. Cook onion in butter; stir in flour until smooth, then add rest of ingredients, except cheese. Simmer until thickened; stir in cheese until melted. Keep temperature low.
