OVERNIGHT TUNA CASSEROLE
(MICROWAVE)

1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of celery soup
1 c. milk
1 (6 1/2 oz.) can water-packed tuna, drained & flaked with fork
1 c. uncooked elbow macaroni
1 c. frozen green peas
1/2 c. chopped onion (or equivalent of dried minced)
1 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded (reserve 1/4 cup)

Whisk soup and milk in 2 quart microwave-safe bowl until well blended. Stir in remaining ingredients except 1/4 cup reserved cheese. Cover and refrigerate at least 12 hours or overnight. Cover with lid or vented plastic wrap. Microwave on High 15 to 17 minutes until bubbly. Sprinkle with reserved cheese. Let stand uncovered 5 to 7 minutes until cheese melts. Very easy and very delicious!

Makes 4 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.

Posting an oven wattage would be real nice.

This was my first try at making a meal, other than the heat and eat variety, in the microwave. Tried the suggested 15 minutes at 1100 watts and it came out slightly burnt and overcooked. Good thing I wasn't planning to serve this to guests.

Recipes for the standard stove/oven don't have you guess what temperature to cook things at, so why should microwave recipes keep you in the dark concerning wattages?
