TAMALE BALLS | |
1 lb. ground beef 1 lb. ground pork 1 tbsp. chili powder 1 1/2 c. cornmeal 2 tsp. salt 3/4 c. tomato juice 4 med. garlic pods, minced Mix beef and pork together. Add all ingredients. Mix well with hands and form into small balls. Place in sauce and simmer for 2 hours. Keep hot. Serve with toothpicks. SAUCE: Mash or blend tomatoes from 2 cans (large). Season with 2 teaspoons salt and 1 tablespoon chili powder. |
