MINESTRONE SOUP 
3 tbsp. butter
2 pkg. onion soup mix plus the water
3/4 c. chopped carrots
1 c. diced turnips
1 c. shredded cabbage
1/2 c. chopped celery and leaves
1/2 clove garlic
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. marjoram
1/3 c. D'Italini macaroni (sm. macaroni pieces)
2 c. tomatoes
1 lb. ground lean beef (I use turkey)

Brown the meat. Add to the rest of the ingredients except the macaroni and simmer for 2 hours. Add the macaroni and simmer until soft. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese. Great for people who are watching fats and cholesterol.
