8 slices bread, remove crust
1 c. sharp cheese, grated
1 egg, beaten
3 tbsp. cream

Mix cheese, egg and cream together. Cut bread in rounds if you wish. Toast on one side under broiler. Spread cheese mixture on untoasted side and broil until cheese puffs up and is lightly brown.
