FRESH APPLE POUND CAKE | |
1 c. vegetable oil 3 eggs, well beaten 3 c. peeled, chopped apples 2 tsp. vanilla 2 c. sugar 3 c. plain flour 1 c. chopped nuts 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 1 sm. pkg. coconut 1 pkg. raisins 1 pkg. candied cherries (1 lb. size) 1 pkg. candied pineapple (1 lb. size) (red and green) In large mixing bowl, sift flour, add sugar, salt and soda. Mix well. Add eggs, oil and vanilla. Then add apples, nuts, raisins, coconut and fruits. Stir well. Pour into well greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour; reduce oven to 325 degrees and bake 1/2 hour. |
