SATSUMA PLUM JAM | |
4 c. Satsuma plums (1/4" chopped) 1/2 c. water 7 1/2 c. sugar 1 pouch Certo pectin 1/2 tsp. liquid butter 1. Place chopped plums, water in stainless steel pot. 2. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer 5 minutes. 3. Add sugar and blend in well. Bring to a boil, add butter and pectin, stir in well. 4. Return to a boil and boil hard for 1 minute. 5. Remove from heat, skim foam with metal spoon. 6. Fill sterilized jars to 1/8" of tops with sterilized lids and ring bands. Yield: 7 cups. |
