SOUTHERN APPLE PIE 
2 c. finely chopped apples
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/3 tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sour cream
1 (9") unbaked pie shell

TOPPING:

1/3 c. flour
1/4 c. butter
1/3 c. brown sugar

TOPPING: Mix together until crumbly.

PIE: Combine sugar, flour and salt; add egg, vanilla and sour cream. Beat until smooth. Add apples, stir well and pour into pie shell. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes; reduce heat to 325 degrees and bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with topping. Return to oven and bake for 20 minutes longer at 325 degrees.
