TURTLE CAKE 
1 (18 oz.) pkg. Pillsbury German Chocolate cake mix
1 (14 oz.) bag Kraft caramels
3/4 c. butter
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts

Mix cake according to package directions. Pour 1/2 batter in greased, floured 9x13 pan and bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Meanwhile, in a double boiler, melt caramels, butter and milk. Pour hot caramel mix over hot cake. Sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts on top of caramel. Pour remaining cake batter on top. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees or until done. Serve warm with ice cream.
