PECAN PIE SOUTHERN STYLE 
1 (9-inch) pie crust
1 1/4 c. dark Karo syrup
1 c. brown sugar, packed
4 tbsp. butter

Boil Karo, brown sugar, and butter; then cool. Line pie crust with pecans forming a round circle.

Break 4 eggs; pour over above mixture, after cooled, into beaten eggs. Add to mixture 2 1/2 cups pecans and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Bake at 350 degrees 45 minutes.
