1 stick butter, softened
1/3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour

In a small mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Add flour and mix well. Pat into bottom and up sides of a greased 9" square pan or a spring form pan.

Then mix: 1/4 c. sugar 1 egg 1/2 tsp. vanilla
