NUTTY FRUIT CAKE 
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 lb. dates
1 lb. Brazil nuts and/or pecans
1/2 lb. whole walnuts
1 (8 oz.) bottle maraschino cherries (save juice)
Cherry juice
4 eggs

Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Add dates, nuts, walnuts, and cherries. Mix together cherry juice and eggs. Add to batter. Put in lightly greased pan. Tube pan or small loaf pans. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
