BARLEY BURGER STEW FOR TWO 
1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1/4 chopped celery
1 (18 oz.) can tomato juice (2 1/4 c.)
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1 to 1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. uncooked barley

In 3 quart saucepan cook and stir meat and onion until browned. Drain fat, stir in remaining ingredients, heat to boiling, reduce heat. Cover and simmer until barley is done, about 1 hour. Ingredients can be doubled tripled as needed.
