3 c. brown sugar
1/2 lb. butter
3 c. raw oatmeal (not instant)
1 egg
1 tbsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt

Cream butter and sugar together. Add oatmeal, vanilla and salt. And add last of all the egg, unbeaten. Drop very small amounts from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes or until cookies look lacy. Store in airtight container. Do not make these cookies in the summer or in damp weather.
