BANANA CAKE 
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/4 c. buttermilk
1 c. mashed banana
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

FROSTING:

Banana cream pudding
Cool Whip

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, beat well. Sift dry ingredients together. Add bananas to cream mixture and then add flour alternating with buttermilk. Add vanilla. Bake in 9 x 13 inch pan at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Frost with Banana Cream Pudding with Cool Whip.
