MEATLOAF WITH PECAN STUFFING | |
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped 1/2 c. onion, chopped 1 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 c. white bread crumbs 1/2 c. milk 2 eggs 1/4 c. butter 2 c. wheat bread crumbs 1/2 c. chopped celery 1/4 tsp. cracked pepper 3/4 c. water 1/2 c. pecans, chopped Combine first 7 ingredients with 1 egg. Mix thoroughly. Place 1/2 mixture in bottom of greased loaf pan. Combine remaining ingredients; mix thoroughly. Spread on top of meat mixture. Place remaining meat mixture on top of pecan layer. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Serves 10. |
