LEMON TEA LOAF 
2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/3 c. milk
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 tbsp. grated lemon peel

Lightly grease loaf pan. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside. In large bowl beat butter with 1 cup sugar. Add eggs and beat until fluffy. Beat in flour mixture with milk. Stir in nuts and lemon peel. Bake at 350 degrees for 55-60 minutes.

SYRUP:

1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. lemon juice

Heat in saucepan for about 1 minute. Pour evenly over bread when hot. Cool about 10 minutes. Eat when hot.
