MEXICAN STYLE CHEESE STRATA 
4 c. cheese flavored tortilla chips, broken
2 c. shredded Monterey Jack Cheese (8 oz.)
6 beaten eggs
2 1/2 c. milk
1 (4 oz.) can green chilies, drained, seeded and chopped
1/4 c. finely chopped onion
3 tbsp. catsup
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. bottled hot pepper sauce
Whole tortilla chips
Halved tomato slices

Sprinkle broken tortilla chips evenly over the bottom of greased 12 x 7 x 2 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with the cheese. In a medium bowl combine with a rotary beater the eggs, milk, green chilies, onion, catsup, salt and hot pepper sauce.

Pour over cheese in dish. Cover; refrigerate several hours or overnight. Bake uncovered in 325 degree oven for 50 to 55 minutes or until set and lightly browned. Garnish with whole tortilla chips and 3 halved tomato slices in center. Makes 6 large or 12 medium sized servings.
