JIM'S BARBECUE SAUCE 
1 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. diced onion
16 oz. catsup
28 oz. chili sauce
1 lb. brown sugar
1/4 c. liquid smoke
1 1/2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp. MSG
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
2 tbsp. jelly (any flavor)

Saute the onion in the butter in a large skillet. Add remaining ingredients in the order given. Mix well. Pour into large covered container and keep refrigerated. (This makes a large quantity of barbecue sauce, but it keeps well.)
