FRIED MEXICAN DEALIES
3 lb. hamburger
2 pkg. taco seasoning
6 to 8 green peppers
4 lg. onions
1 tbsp. garlic powder
2 tbsp. oil
4 c. tomatoes, chopped
3 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
2 pkg. lg. flour tortillas
Oil for frying
Sour cream (optional)
Picante Sauce (optional)

1. Cook hamburger until browned, drain off grease. To cooked hamburger, add both packages of taco seasoning, mix well, set aside.

2. Slice both green peppers and onions into one inch long, thin strips.

3. In large skillet, place 2 tablespoons oil, garlic powder, green peppers and onions; cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until peppers and onions are very soft. Set aside.

4. On the center of each flour tortilla, layer; cheese, tomatoes, pepper/onion mixture, and hamburger, in this order. (Be sure not to overfill or it won't close.)

5. Pull outer edges over the top of the filling so it resembles a square, making sure all of filling is covered with the tortilla.

6. On medum low, heat oil in skillet (enough to cover bottom of pan). When oil is hot, carefully place each Mexican Dealie, folded side down, in skillet, cook until golden brown, flip and cook other side until golden. Continue until all Mexican dealies have been fried.

7. Top with picante sauce and sour cream, if desired.
