CHRISTMAS JAM 
3 lbs. prunes
3 lbs. seeded raisins
3 oranges
3 lbs. sugar
3/4 lb. chopped nuts

Cook prunes and remove seeds. Pour 2 cups of water over seeds and let stand 1 hour - strain. Combine the liquid from prune seeds with water in which prunes were cooked. Add prunes, seeded raisins, sugar and oranges cut in thin strips. Cook 25 minutes. Add the nuts and cook 10 minutes longer.
