CARAMEL BARS 
1 c. oatmeal
3/4 c. melted butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. flour
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Mix all together. Press 2/3 minutes in 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove from oven and sprinkle 1 cup chocolate chips and spread when melted. Set aside.

CARAMEL:

Mix 15 ounce can sweetened condensed milk with 32 caramels. Melt over hot water. Pour oven melted chocolate chips. Sprinkle rest of mixture on top. Bake 10 to 15 minutes. Cool. Cut. Makes 40 bars.
