CHEESEBURGER PIE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 egg
1 med. onion, minced
1/4 c. milk
1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
3 slices cheese
Butter

Combine first 7 ingredients; mix thoroughly. Pat half of the mixture smoothly into bottom of 8 inch greased skillet; place cheese evenly over meat mixture. Cover with remaining meat mixture; pat smooth. Cut in wedges. Cook for 10 minutes over medium heat or until well browned on bottom and sides. Brush top and sides with melted butter. Broil 2 inches from source of heat for 6-7 minutes. Let stand at room temperature for 10-15 minutes. Remove from skillet with a pie server. Serves 4.
