KENTUCKY COLESLAW | |
3 c. shredded cabbage 1/2 c. shredded carrots 2 tbsp. sugar 4 tbsp. milk 1/4 c. buttermilk 1/4 c. sour cream, optional Dash Tabasco sauce 1 tbsp. dry minced onion 1/4 tsp. celery seed 1/2 c. mayonnaise Marinate 3 cups shredded cabbage, 1/2 cup shredded carrots, 2 tablespoons sugar, 4 tablespoons milk in refrigerator overnight. Drain well. Mix cabbage with 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1/4 cup buttermilk or sour cream, dash of Tabasco, 1 tablespoon dry minced onion and 1/4 teaspoon celery seed. Refrigerate 1 hour. Serves 4. |
