PEANUT BUTTER KISS COOKIES 
1 2/3 c. all-purpose flour
1/3 c. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. (1 stick) slightly softened butter
1/3 c. smooth peanut butter
2/3 c. powdered sugar
1/3 c. packed brown sugar
1 lg. egg
2 tsp. vanilla extract
35-40 Hershey's Kisses (about 6 oz.)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease baking sheets and set aside.

Thoroughly stir together flour, cornstarch, baking powder and baking soda in a bowl. In a large bowl beat butter and peanut butter with mixer on medium until light. Sift in powdered sugar. Add brown sugar and beat until light and smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually beat in dry ingredients.

Pull off small portions of dough and roll into 1" balls. Press a chocolate kiss, flat side down, into center of balls until about 1/4 of kiss is showing. Mold dough around kiss. Space about 2" apart on baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes or until tops begin to brown. Yield: about 35 cookies.
