NORWEGIAN MEATBALLS 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. pork sausage
1/2 c. cracker or bread crumbs
1/2 c. milk
1 egg
1/2 to 3/4 c. minced onion
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Grind meats finely. Soak crumbs in milk and add to meat. Mix remaining ingredients and add to meat. Knead thoroughly. Brown in 1/4 cup beater until evenly browned. Remove to serving dish. Add 1 tablespoon flour to pan and brown well. Add milk and water to make medium thick gravy. Salt to taste. Put over meatballs and cook 15 minutes or more. Makes 6 to 8 portions. Add just enough spices for your taste.
