1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/4 c. shortening
1/4 c. butter, softened
1 egg
3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. crushed Total cereal, about 4 c. uncrushed

Mix sugars, peanut butter, shortening, butter, and egg in bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop by teaspoonful about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with fork dipped in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 14 minutes until light brown around edges. Yields 3 dozen cookies.
