2 c. white corn meal
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten
3 tbsp. onion, finely chopped
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. whole milk
1 tbsp. cider vinegar or 1 tbsp. lemon juice

Mix dry ingredients. Add beaten egg. Mix well. Drop by tablespoons into hot grease at 360 to 375 degrees. When they float to the top they are cooked. Drain on paper towels.
