AUNT HESTER'S BAKED BEANS 
2 lb. State of Maine yellow-eyed beans, dried
1 tsp. baking soda
1 onion
2 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 lb. dark brown sugar
2 tbsp. molasses
Salt to taste
1 piece of salt pork
2 c. water

Rinse beans several times and soak in cold water overnight. Parboil beans about 45 minutes with 1 teaspoon baking soda. Rinse then add to crock pot. Add the remaining ingredients and cook in crock pot for about 4 to 6 hours.
