1 c. brown sugar 1/4 c. butter 1/4 c. shortening 1/4 c. cold coffee 1 egg 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1 3/4 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. raisins 3/4 c. chopped nuts Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix sugar, butter, shortening, coffee, egg, cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes until no indentation remains when lightly touched. Cool on rack. Yield: Approximately 4 dozen. |
