HOLIDAY FRUIT SALAD 
1 (20 oz.) can pineapple tidbits, in juice
2 tbsp. cornstarch
Grated rind and juice of 1 naval orange
2 tart green apples, peeled and chopped
1 kiwi fruit, peeled, sliced (optional)
1 starfruit, sliced (optional)
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 can mandarin oranges
6 maraschino cherries
1 banana, sliced (optional)

Drain pineapple juice into cup, add water to make 3/4 cup. In 1 quart saucepan, stir together pineapple juice, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice and orange rind and juice. Place over medium heat and stir constantly until mixture begins to boil (7 to 8 minutes).
