CHILI
1 lb. hamburger
1/2 lb. pork or Italian sausage
1 onion
2 cloves garlic
2 tbsp. chili powder
2 qt. stewed or canned whole tomatoes
1 can pork and beans
1 can kidney beans (drained)
1 can chili beans
1 (12 oz.) tomato paste
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 chopped green pepper
1 c. celery, chopped
1/2 c. parsley (dried)
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 tbsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 c. chili sauce
1 Hershey milk chocolate bar
2-3 drops Tabasco sauce (optional)

Brown and drain hamburger and sausage. Chop onion, peppers, celery; saute until onion is transparent. Add garlic and combine meat with the onion-pepper mixture. Add all to large kettle with stewed tomatoes. Add rest of ingredients except tomato paste. Cook for 3 hours over low heat, stirring occasionally, then add tomato paste.

Better on second and third days. Can be frozen. Serve with fresh chopped onions, grated cheese and sour cream as topping. (Don't be afraid to add the chocolate bar; it works!)
