REFRIGERATOR DOUGH (SWEET) 
2 1/2 c. warm water
1 pkg. yeast
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. salt
1 egg
1/2 c. shortening, melted
About 6 c. flour

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add sugar, salt, egg and shortening. Add flour to make stiff dough. Let rise. Work down and place in refrigerator. Check again before leaving it in refrigerator for longer period of time. If needed, work down again. May be left overnight. When ready to bake set out and let it rise again. This dough may be used for kuchen, krautburgers, dinner rolls, etc. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until nicely browned.
