PAPER SACK BARBECUE CHICKEN 
3 lbs. chicken, cut as for frying
3 tbsp. tomato catsup
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
3 tsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. butter
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. cayenne
4 tsp. water

Make a sauce of all ingredients except chicken. Cook for a few minutes. Dip chicken in hot sauce and put in a brown grocery bag which has been well greased on the inside. Fold ends of sack carefully. Place in a covered roaster. Do not open sack while cooking. Bake in a preheated 500 degree oven for 15 minutes. Lower temperature to 250 degrees and cook 1 3/4 hours more.
