MORAVIAN CUTOUTS | |
1/2 lb. (2 sticks) unsalted butter 1 1/2 c. sugar 2 eggs 2 tsp. vanilla 3 3/4 c. all-purpose flour 3 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt Cream butter and sugar until light in color. Add eggs and continue to beat mixture until light and fluffy. Add vanilla. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together and stir into butter mixture. Wrap dough in waxed paper and chill for 1 hour. Preheat oven to 375°F. Roll chilled dough until 1/8 to 1/4-inch thick. Use cutters of choice. Bake on a greased pan for 8 minutes. Yield: 5 dozen. |
