1 1/2 lbs. cubed or sirloin steak, cut in strips 1/3 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1/2 onion, sliced 1 green pepper, sliced 1 can mushrooms 3 tbsp. molasses 3 tbsp. soy sauce 1 can green beans Place meat in 2 1/2 quart casserole. Sprinkle with flour and salt. Toss to coat meat. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Add onion, green pepper, tomatoes, mushrooms, molasses and soy sauce. Mix well. Cover and bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Stir in beans. Drop Tangy Muffins by tablespoon onto meat mixture. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Serves 6 to 8. TANGY MUFFINS: 1 1/4 c. flour (plain) 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. dry mustard 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. milk 2 tbsp. cooking oil 1 egg Combine flour, baking powder, dry mustard and salt. Combine milk, oil and egg; add dry ingredients, stirring until mixture is well mixed. |
