CHERRY CRISP 
1 (16 oz.) can sour cherries, drained
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. flour
Few drops red coloring

Mix together juice from cherries, sugar and flour in saucepan and cook until thickened. Cool. Add cherries and red food coloring. 1 1/2 c. flour 1 c. brown sugar, packed 1/2 tsp. salt 3/4 tsp. baking soda 2/3 c. shortening

Cut together thoroughly the above ingredients. Pack firmly in 8x12 greased baking dish half of the dry mixture. Pour in cherries and pack the remainder of the dry mixture on top. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes or until lightly browned.
