MAYONNAISE CAKE 
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. regular mayonnaise
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 c. boiling water
1 tsp. baking soda

In a saucepan, boil the water with 1 tsp. baking soda. Pour mixture over nuts and dates; set aside. Cream together mayonnaise and sugar, then add cocoa. Add to nuts and dates. Gradually add flour, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla and stir well.

Bake at 350°F for 40-45 minutes.
