1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. grated maraschino cherries, dusted with flour

Blend first 3 ingredients together. Add baking powder, salt, and flour; batter will be stiff. Add remaining ingredients.

Bake in tube pan that is well-greased and floured for about 1 hour at 325 degrees. Test for doneness. Let cool for 10 minutes and invert on cake rack.
