BANANA NUT CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 ripe bananas
1 1/4 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Stir in mashed bananas. Sift together dry ingredients; add to banana mixture; mix well. Blend in nuts. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until done.
