1 c. soft butter
1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. Softasilk cake flour, sifted
1/4 tsp. salt
Green and red candied cherries, cut into quarters

Heat oven to 400°F. Mix butter, sugar, and vanilla. Sift flour, salt together. Stir in. Drop by teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet or roll into small balls of equivalent amount. Press cherry quarter into middle of ball.

Bake 8 minutes or until set. Do not allow to brown.

NOTE: They will be very fragile until they have cooled. These are my family's favorite Christmas cookie!
