BOURBON OR RUM BALLS 
1 1/2 c. crushed vanilla wafers
1 c. confectioner sugar
1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/4 c. cocoa
2 tsp. corn syrup
1/4 c. cream of evaporated milk
1 tsp. rum extract or 1/4 c. rum or bourbon
1/2 c. granulated sugar
Maraschino cherries

Combine all but granulated sugar and cherries. Roll mixture in 1 inch balls. Roll balls in granulated sugar. Top each with a cherry slice. Cover with plastic wrap and let age 3 or 4 days.

Makes 2 1/2 dozen rum balls.
