BUTTER PECAN COOKIES 
1 tbsp. butter, melted
1 c. pecan halves
Salt
1 c. butter, soft
1 egg, beaten
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. sugar
2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour

Place pecans on cookie sheet with butter and shake with salt. Bake for 3 or 4 minutes at 350 degrees. Combine butter, egg, milk, vanilla, sugar and flour in mixing bowl. Mix at low speed until dough forms a ball. Stir in pecans; chill until firm.

Shape dough in 2 or 3 rolls; wrap and chill until real firm or overnight. Cut in 1/4 inch slices. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 7-10 minutes until light golden brown. Cool.
